Friday may be everyone’s favorite day of the week because it’s the beginning of the weekend, and before you know it, Monday arrives sooner than anyone had anticipated. Of course, the best way to kick off the weekend is by doing something fun and out of the house. Luckily, there’s plenty to do in Fayetteville, thanks to Fayetteville After Five and even 4th Friday! Of course, you could go out and take advantage of Happy Hour specials that you can find at any bar or restaurant in historic Fayetteville, or you could do something different that doesn’t involve trying to get a bartender’s attention. Once the clock strikes 5:00, you should know that you have some exciting events to attend.

On the second Friday of the month during the summer, you can head to Festival Park for some fun and entertainment. It’s your chance to let loose and get ready for the relaxing weekend. The gates to Festival Park open at 5:00 PM with the concerts beginning around 7:00 or 7:30 PM. This event features Budweiser products, as well as a variety of food trucks so you can find great and unique food that’s readily available at the festival.

  • June 9: 120 Minutes, a 90’s alternative/pop/rock tribute band, will perform the hits of everyone’s favorite decade.
  • July 14: On the Border is the ULTIMATE Eagles tribute band, and they’ll perform the hits spanning from “Hotel California” to “Take it Easy,” along with many other classic songs.
  • August 11: Kasey Tyndall will perform her country music hits.

Families and friends are encouraged to walk the streets of historic Fayetteville to check out the work that’s being displayed by local artists. It’s a great time for all the citizens of Fayetteville, as well as people from the surrounding towns and communities.

Public displays of art aren’t the only thing that’s going on during 4th Friday. Local shops and restaurants will have specials and deals that you’ll want to take advantage of while you’re making your way around the streets. You can get a great meal, as well as save on a variety of goods, while you’re out on the town during 4th Friday. Of course, you can even purchase art from the local talent that are out showing off their work. Each month, the 4th Friday has a different theme to help you get into the spirit.
