One of the best things about the weekend, other than not having to go to work, is having the time to sleep in a little bit and relax. Of course, another great thing about the weekend is finding a place to get brunch once you’re fully awake and ready to face the day. There are several places in the area that serve up breakfast, but we did the research and found some of the best brunch spots in Fayetteville that you can check out this weekend!

If you find yourself in or heading to the downtown Fayetteville area, you may want to pop into Circa 1800 for some early morning eats. This restaurant and bar has a variety of different options to start your day off the right way. You could enjoy all the southern favorites, like a Country French Omelet, Shrimp and Grits, or even Chicken and Waffles. Of course, if you stop in, you may want to try the Stuffed French Toast that’s filled with vanilla bean cream cheese and topped with fruit, powdered sugar, and house made syrup. Get started with a Build Your Own Bloody Mary at Circa 1800.

Are you trying to take brunch to the next level and make it a fine dining experience? You may want to check out the flavors at Hilltop House in Fayetteville. This restaurant and venue certainly pulls out all the stops with the breakfast selection. You can keep it traditional with some Biscuits and Gravy, Country Ham, or Eggs Benedict. But why not take it to the next level with Bananas Foster French Toast, Quiche, or Crepes. They have a Brunch Buffet where you can sample all the flavors. There’s even a cold seafood bar where you can enjoy a veritable selection from the sea.

If you fancy yourself a local, than you’ve heard of the Metro Diner. If not, you may have seen them on Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives. They’ve certainly earned their spot on the show, as well as several best of lists in a variety of local publications.

The best advice would be to not eat for several days before coming here so you can try to sample all of their award-winning flavors. They offer numerous Omelet, Benedict, and Waffle options, but you’ll want to try some of the favorites like the Breakfast Pie, the Fried Chicken and Waffle, or the Yo Hala on the Square (featured on DDD). This French Toast dish features thick slices of challah bread that’s stuffed with bananas, brown sugar, cream cheese, and hazelnut syrup and topped with blueberry and strawberry compote.
